My market business started about 15 years ago as a hobby to earn extra dollars at the Cotton Tree Markets, Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.
The business grew over the next five years, becoming more than just a hobby….
My husband and I decided to travel Australia in our caravan and enjoyed it so much that we continued travelling for seven years. During this time, we operated our market stall every weekend around Australia, which funded our travelling expenses.
After settling back home on the Sunshine Coast, I continue to operate a market stall three times each week – Wednesday and Saturdays at Eumundi Markets and Sundays at Cotton Tree Market.
Over the years, I have sold many different products from pendant scarves to colourful baskets and hats that were hand-made in Madagascar. I am now extremely proud to be offering for sale a luxury range of Italian leather products that are colourful and stylish and very reasonably priced for such quality.
I have built a strong local, interstate and overseas customer base who return to visit my stall or buy online.
We have recently moved from the Eumundi Parkside Market to a permanent lock-up store in the Eumundi Square at the Eumundi Markets. We now have the room to grow our range of products, including a very fashionable range of hand-made hats that are made in Madagascar and other accessories to complement our leather products. You can find my new shop number 771 located on the east side of the complex. We open every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
